A Party Fit For a Princess

I love a good party! And now I love planning a good party! This was truly a party organized for a princess! Kelsey has been planning her princess party since the day after she turned 3! Maybe she will be a party planner herself one day. We had a jewelry making station, a magical hunt for a key that would unlock the presents, cake, Chickfila and a princess bounce house! Exhausted? Yup, I was too!

For anyone looking for party ideas pleas see below. The girls arrived and dropped off their presents in a wooden box before heading to the jewelry making station. While they were busy, a spell was put on the presents and the box was locked! When it was time to open the presents, the girls found them locked with the accompanying clue:

-->
Eye of Newt and Eggs of Pheasants,

I have locked up all these birthday presents.

The key has been hidden around and around,

Look up in the air and on the ground.

Each game you play will reveal a clue,

The rhyme will tell you what to do.

The rug is the very first place you should go,

An apple awaits, hi ho hi ho!

Game: Pass the apple (hot potato) Prize: special princess bag
The apple is poison and will do you great harm.

Pass it around, don’t let it stop in your arms.

The game will continue until the music is through,

and one princess remains to retrieve the next clue.

Game: Pin the tiara on the princess. Prize: Princess nail polish
A princess is polished from her head to her toe,

Here is her tiara, where should it go?

Line up now and cover your eyes,

You will then get a clue and a glittery prize!

Game: Go outside to find a princess balloon weighted down by a glass slipper Prize: Helium balloon and slipper
Still looking here and looking there,

you have looked almost everywhere!

Your next rhyme might be flying by,

be the first to find the clue in the sky.

Game: Find the hidden frog Prize: princess lipstick
Find the frog and you’ll find your prince.

You’ll kiss him on his puckered lips.

Then just count “one, two, three”!

The next clue starts with the letter “P”!

Game: Pinata Prize: candy and jewels (& key)
Princess stories bring great delight,

to the girls who read them every night.

Jewels and gems and a magical treat,

will be yours to grab when you pull a string.

Pre-scooped ice cream!!!

These should have been scattered in the yard but it was too windy and got put into the garage.
