Kelsey's Big GIRL Room
Many years back, I was one of those people who thought, 'why would anyone let their child sleep in their bed?' Well, we are now those parents! I am not sure when it happened, I blame it on all the traveling we did with Kelsey, however, slowly but surely she found her way smack-dab between us!
This weekend the major project was getting Kelsey's room together! We spent a large amount of money at Pottery Barn Kids and can you believe they wouldn't come and set up the room for us? Kelsey was very helpful, as you may have imagined! She even put the birdies on her tree!
She loves her new room! The first night I thought for sure she would sleep in her new bed.
"Kelsey do you want to sleep in your new room?"
"Yes!" Wow!!! I am shocked! We took one step inside and YES quickly turned into "NO!" "NO!"
Two nights later, she did decide to sleep in her bed, mommy right beside her! She slept great! We'll see what tonight brings!
Still have lots more decorating to do, but this is the start!

The Rugs
I know you have all been wondering, did the rugs make it? We brought back our 3 high-value rugs in a burlap suitcase! We brought our rugs back up to Oriental Carpet and they "packaged" them for us! Really pretty amazing!
When we arrived in Houston, we of course got pulled to receive "extra attention" from airport security and our bags went through a thorough screening. Of course they were most interested in the burlap suitcase, which they of course knew contained at least one magic carpet. So it goes through the x-ray and then the screener needed to look a little closer at it. He then took out his pocket knife, I seriously was about to have a heart attack! Seeing the fear in my eyes, he instantly explained that he was looking for bugs that live in the burlap. Thankfully the bag was finally passed through customs and we were on our way.
Below are pictures of the suitcase and how tightly 3 rugs were packed in it!
