Expat Brat

Kelsey is finally settling into her life as an expat brat! Jet lag is finally subsiding, though we aren't quite sleeping through the night yet. Kelsey actually slept through the night on Tuesday after a day at the Ritz with her friends. It is quite a treat to spend the day there as a membership is required. Maybe Michael will splurge for the Toots to have a membership! ;-) We had a wonderful day with our friends and and even better sleep that night!

This is The Christmas Kitty! She was purchased MANY years ago from Dillards as there is a strong resemblance to Macey. The Christmas Kitty became the Year Long Kitty and Kelsey just loves her as you can tell from the video!

To say that things aren't going well since returning to Doha would be an understatement. Shortly after arriving, Michael got sick. Then I got sick. Kelsey is not even close to resetting her clock...consequently, neither am I. UGH! So pretty much we are usually up between 11-4 at night/morning. The only suggestion that I have read online is to be out in the sun. With the car thermometer reading 121, we don't spend much time in the sun! ;-) In addition to all of that Kelsey has got to be teething. Fun times in Doha!

No Peas Please

Kelsey decided to become picky at dinner today. She normally loves peas and tonight, no such luck! She decided that the only thing she would eat was applesauce and SHE WOULD ONLY FEED HERSELF! What a mess! And yes, she is clapping for herself after each bite! ;-)

She is also getting quite good at using her sippy cup.

A New Trick

I just think that this is hysterical. Kelsey first started doing this while playing peak-a-boo with her Gramma, who always rode in the back with Kelsey.

What Time Is It?

Well it is bad enough dealing with jet lag on your own, then to throw an almost 8 month old into the mix! UGH! Things have been a little rough to say the least. Personally, I don't see an end in sight! Inshallah, it will come!

Kelsey is Crawling

Kelsey started crawling about 2 weeks ago! We have been saying for about 2 months now that she is going to crawl soon. So when my friend, Julie, said she is going to crawl any minute, I just laughed and said, right! ;-) As if the sarcasm had not even left my lips, there she went. She has been going ever since!

We Made It

Well, after a lengthy visit back in the states, we have arrived safe and sound in Doha. Kelsey and I flew out Friday evening, direct-Houston to Doha. 2 large suitcases, 1 small suitcase, car seat, stroller, 2 carry ons (toys dangling from the carry ons as there was no room in the luggage)...not to mention Baby K strapped to me. Oh we must have been a sight to see. As expected, Kelsey was an ANGEL! Who would have guessed that a 14 hour flight would just fly by???
